Friends of the Forest Preserves Trailblazers Hikes

The Trailblazers program is a new opportunity for volunteers to promote their favorite preserves by serving as guides on themed walks/hikes. Meet fellow nature enthusiasts and learn about the outdoors in a unique way as we blaze the trails of Cook County!

Organizer of Friends of the Forest Preserves Trailblazers Hikes
We unite people to protect, promote, and care for the forest preserves in Cook County. Founded in 1998 by a small group of concerned citizens, Friends is now a force of thousands of committed volunteers and members. Through political advocacy, ecological restoration, and community engagement, we ensure the forest preserves will always be a source of recreation and relaxation.
