Welcome to Clark County, Nevada 4-H!Interested in joining 4-H? There are a few ways that students can be involved in the 4-H Program in Clark County.Youth and families can join an existing 4-H club around the county. Clubs are open to youth ages 9-19. Children between 5-8 (Cloverbuds) are welcome to attend club meetings but have to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Check out the clubs shared on our Eventbrite profile for club information and meeting dates.Youth are also welcome to join any of the programs and classes that Clark County 4-H offers. These include multi-session programs, day camp, and overnight camps. It began a century ago as an educational program for the nation's rural youth. Today, 4-H meets the needs of and engages young people in positive youth development experiences. 4-H is the youth development education program of University of Nevada, Reno Extension.4-H is the largest out-of-school youth organization in the United States with over 7 million members. There are over 49,000 young people engaged in 4-H programs across the state of Nevada alone. The 4-H program promotes life skills development through an expanding number of delivery modes: 4-H community and project clubs, military and 4-H after-school programs, special interest groups, school enrichment, library programming, recreational and community center partnerships, camping opportunities and much more.4-H participants are all youth, ages 5 to 19, taking part in programs provided as the result of actions planned and initiated by Extension personnel in cooperation with volunteers and families. 4-H is characterized as being community-centered, volunteer-led, Extension staff supervised, research-based, home and family-oriented, publicly and privately funded and responsive to change. Clark County, NV 4-H Program

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach arm of the University that extends unbiased, research-based knowledge to local communities. Educational programs and projects are developed based on local needs in partnership with other agencies and volunteers.

Cooperative Extension Southern Area’s 4-H resident camp is being held at the Nevada State 4-H Camp at beautiful Lake Tahoe from July 23 - 28. Registration is open to campers between the ages of 9-15 until the camp is full.  Membership is required.  (Membership is free- Please request applications by placing Club:  Needed on the pre-enrollment form.)
 This year’s camp utilizes the 4-H Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math (S.T.E.A.M.) program.  During the six days, campers will participate in activities centering on nature, healthy lifestyles, robotics, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), rocketry, dramatic arts, leadership, creative arts, and much more.

 Lake Tahoe is a unique and magnificent treasure. This historic 4-H Camp creates opportunities for inspiration, education and relaxation - right on the lakeshore. Owned and operated by the University of Nevada, the camp has a rich tradition as a setting for youth to live and learn at Lake Tahoe. The diverse forest, meadow and beach ecosystems provide an unparalleled opportunity for outdoor environmental education. This spectacular site on 32 acres at the south shore of Lake Tahoe is available to youth and adult groups for camps, conferences, educational events, retreats or other programs.
4-H is an organization that primarily focuses on positive youth development and is open to all youth ages 5 to 19.  4-H is a community of young people across America learning leadership, citizenship, life skills and technical skills through active participation in events, projects and community service. 4-H is the largest out-of-school youth organization in the United States with over 7 million members. There are over 49,000 young people engaged in 4-H programs across the state of Nevada. 4-H is delivered in many different settings including  community and project clubs, military and 4-H afterschool programs; special interest groups; school enrichment; faith-based; camping and more.

4-H Overnight Camps

Clark County 4-H overnight camps provide youth ages 9-19 with outdoor learning and leadership development. Hosted at the Nevada 4-H Camp Alamo (100 miles north of Las Vegas), these programs feature STEM, archery, arts and survival skills.
