2026 Swift Campout with Oak City Cycling

The longest day of the year is right around the corner puppies- and that means it's Swift Campout time! 🏕

Our friends over at Swift Industries – on top of being real neat and making some damn fine bike bags – put out a global call to go bike-camping every summer solstice. This has always been our favorite excuse for getting out in the woods. Swift has been at this for 12 years now! Neat.

So join us Saturday, June 20th for a sub-24 hour overnighter in Umstead State Park! We'll be meeting at the shop right around close (5 p.m.) for the 14 mile, no drop ride out to our camping spot.

This campout is completely self-supported. You'll have to pack everything you need for the night on your bike. This includes but is not limited to food, camping gear, extra clothes, coffee and water. Both tents and hammocks are welcome.
