4-H Day Camps

Clark County 4-H offers a variety of educational day camps and multi-day summer camps tailored to youth development. These programs feature hands-on STEAM activities, cooking, arts and crafts, outdoor environmental exploration, and leadership development.

November 25
8:45 AM Parent/Guardian Drop off and make sure ALL youth are currently registered in 4-H online/proper paperwork filled out
9:00 AM Icebreakers
9:30 AM Current Horse club members present their club demonstrations- these are required 
10:30 AM Brain Break Games (Horse Games: barrels, poles, etc)
10:45 AM 4-H Horseless Curriculum Packets Begin with: "Parts of a Horse" Game/Activity
11:30 AM Lunch (Youth to bring their own)
12:00 PM Movement Activity
12:15 PM Horse Teeth Activity- Age of the Horse
12:45 PM Approaching and Handling (Quick Release Knot Teaching)
1:45 PM Movement Activity
2:00 PM Horse Colors Lesson 
3:00 PM Horse Quizbowl (Using questions/topics from the day)
3:30 PM Parent Pick Up

9:15 AM Tack and Equipment Lesson 
10:00 AM Brain Break Games
10:15 AM Breeds (Break into groups and assign breeds- iPads to make presentations)
11:30 AM Lunch 
12:00 PM Breed Presentations
12:45 PM Brain Break
1:00 PM Horse Psychology and Behavior (Flight vs. Fight Instinct)
2:00 PM First Aid + Types of Shots (Sub-Q, IM, IV, Etc.)
3:00 PM Wrap Up/Evaluations/Clean Up
3:30 PM Parent Pick Up
