4-H Summer Adventures  Day Camp

Welcome to Clark County, Nevada 4-H!Interested in joining 4-H? There are a few ways that students can be involved in the 4-H Program in Clark County.Youth and families can join an existing 4-H club around the county. Clubs are open to youth ages 9-19. Children between 5-8 (Cloverbuds) are welcome to attend club meetings but have to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Check out the clubs shared on our Eventbrite profile for club information and meeting dates.Youth are also welcome to join any of the programs and classes that Clark County 4-H offers. These include multi-session programs, day camp, and overnight camps. It began a century ago as an educational program for the nation's rural youth. Today, 4-H meets the needs of and engages young people in positive youth development experiences. 4-H is the youth development education program of University of Nevada, Reno Extension.4-H is the largest out-of-school youth organization in the United States with over 7 million members. There are over 49,000 young people engaged in 4-H programs across the state of Nevada alone. The 4-H program promotes life skills development through an expanding number of delivery modes: 4-H community and project clubs, military and 4-H after-school programs, special interest groups, school enrichment, library programming, recreational and community center partnerships, camping opportunities and much more.4-H participants are all youth, ages 5 to 19, taking part in programs provided as the result of actions planned and initiated by Extension personnel in cooperation with volunteers and families. 4-H is characterized as being community-centered, volunteer-led, Extension staff supervised, research-based, home and family-oriented, publicly and privately funded and responsive to change. Clark County 4-H offers a variety of educational day camps and multi-day summer camps tailored to youth development. These programs feature hands-on STEAM activities, cooking, arts and crafts, outdoor environmental exploration, and leadership development.

The 4-H Summer Adventures Day camp is a wonderful way for children to learn and grow. At this three-week summer camp, youth will experience an amazing and unique summer experience. Kids will play games, be physically active, enjoy delicious snacks and learn valuable life skills in a fun and safe setting. This camp is open to youth in Clark County, Nevada ages 9 through 12. The cost is $50 per week, per child. Registration is required as spaces are limited so sign up ASAP.Camp days are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Life Long Learning Center, 8050 S. Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89123. Snacks provided but your child must bring their lunch. Mask are required as we are following COVID safety guidelines. June 7 to 11 | Sizziling Summer STEMSizzling Summer STEM - Become a scientist and join us for hands-on activities spanning across different scientific fields! Great for inquisitive young minds looking to learn about the natural and technological world. Instructor: Cody Dix and Luisa Ixmatlahua-Garay, Clark County - Las VegasJune 14 to 18 | Lead Your LYFELead your LYFE (Loving Yourself First is Everything!) - Let&#x27;s dig deep! Lead your LYFE will create a safe space for preteens to discover their identity and what makes them &quot;tick&quot;. Emotionally intelligent adults begin as youth who practice expressing their beliefs, feelings, and dreams effectively. Camp participants will discover who they are (not who they are told they are) and how to express who they believe themselves to be.
