Do I need to prepare anything for the interview?

Accepted Answer

No formal preparation is required. The interview is conversational and focused on learning more about your idea, your motivation, and your commitment to creating change.

Question 2

Can a parent or guardian attend the interview?

Accepted Answer

Parents or guardians are welcome to accompany students and may wait in our community space during the interview. The interview itself will be conducted with the student applicant(s).

Question 3

If I’m part of a team, does everyone need to sign up for an interview time?

Accepted Answer

No. If you are applying as a team, only one student should sign up for an interview time on behalf of the group. During the interview, teams may send up to one to three student presenters.

What if I need to reschedule my interview?

Accepted Answer

If you need to reschedule, please contact changebowl@houseofshine.org as soon as possible so we can try to accommodate your request.

What happens after the interview?

Accepted Answer

After all interviews are completed, the House of Shine Leadership Institute will select the final 2026 Change Bowl changemakers. Applicants will be notified of the decision and next steps by email.
