How do these diverse natural and manmade environments come together to shape a uniquely American identity? It’s time to embark on a sweeping journey uncovering the architecture, culture, and character that define the United States across its most remarkable landscapes.

Join New York Adventure Club as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an epic 10-part series exploring a curated selection of stories, influences, and environments that have shaped the nation’s most iconic places. In Part Ten: Washington, DC, we’ll explore a city where architecture, symbolism, and urban planning come together to reflect the ideals, history, and power of the United States.

Led by tour guide Kelsey Betzelberger, this experience — featuring plenty of firsthand photo and video walkthroughs, intriguing anecdotes, and expert insights — will include:

• Cherry blossoms and the Tidal Basin — experience Washington during peak bloom, where delicate pink and white blossoms frame the city’s most iconic monuments
• The White House and U.S. Capitol — explore the defining symbols of American democracy, showcasing neoclassical architecture, symmetry, and monumental civic design
• Monuments and memorials — visit the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and Jefferson Memorial, where architecture and symbolism create powerful spaces of reflection
• Museums and cultural institutions — discover the National Gallery of Art, Smithsonian museums, and the Hirshhorn, each offering world-class collections within architecturally significant spaces
• Urban planning and civic design — walk through grand avenues, landscaped parks, and carefully planned sightlines that define Washington’s identity as a purpose-built capital
