ERICA S. BREAM, CSAstarted working in Casting when she was 18 years old. Since then, she has worked on projects across all mediums, including on titles such as ECHOES (Netflix), TELL ME YOUR SECRETS (Amazon), ALTERED CARBON (Netflix), CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS), STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS (Paramount), 11:22.63 (Hulu) and many others, including the upcoming DOLLY PARTON’S MOUNTAIN MAGIC CHRISTMAS (NBC), PANHANDLE (Spectrum) and THE WINCHESTERS (CW). Notably, Bream has co-cast thirteen seasons of the prestigious Young Playwrights Festival for The Blank Theatre Company. Over the years, Bream’s work in theatre, short film and television casting has garnered her nine Artios nominations and a win in the Los Angeles Theatre category.

Casting Director, Erica S. Bream has been teaching audition technique for over 18 years. Her passion lies in helping actors gain confidence in their self-taping abilities by providing real-world experiences, examples and constructive feedback.

<h2>WHY SHOULD I TAKE THIS CLASS?</h2>1. Self-taping is a game of over-thinking everything. Add weird sci-fi language and fantasy-like witches/fairies/aliens voices + dialects and it&#x27;s easy to get lost down the rabbit hole.2. Sci-Fi and Fantasy projects are often SUPER SECRET, leaving you with dummy sides and huge gaps in context. This class will help you pick through the mess and focus on some key clues.3. Sci-Fi and Fantasy are DIFFERENT! They each have certain genre hallmarks and performance styles. Do you know what they are? (Erica does!)4. This class is TOTALLY recorded! Y&#x27;all are busy... this class will allow you to watch tapes and recordings on your own time while still being able to ask questions and engage with Erica virtually.<h2></h2><h2>This class will go over important technical aspects of your tapes but will also focus on script analysis, breaking down characters and things you can do to gain confidence in your choices when taping for SCI-FI and FANTASY projects on your own.</h2><ul><li>Actors will self-tape at home, with material specifically selected by Erica.</li></ul><ul><li>Erica will record some overall class notes and feedback, answer questions and provide info and context for the assignments. Actors will receive personalized feedback videos for their work, each week.</li></ul><ul><li>Actors will have access to an online folder where all class work and recorded videos can be accessed. Erica will also post helpful clips, articles and reference.</li></ul><ul><li>This class will finish with a wrap-up Zoom where participants can join Erica to ask their questions live! This class is also fully recorded, with a live Zoom at the very end to ask final questions and wrap up.
