- Use prompt engineering techniques to obtain reliable, accurate, and neutral results from generative AI systems
Applications and Tools
- Apply AI to real-world policing scenarios including crime pattern analysis, trend detection, intelligence support, and risk identification
- Use AI-assisted investigative tools to support OSINT collection, digital evidence review, information synthesis, and lead development
- Evaluate and safely use immediately accessible AI tools that agencies can deploy without advanced technical expertise
Risks, Ethics, and Policy
- Recognize risks associated with AI use including bias, misidentification, hallucinations, and over-reliance on automated outputs
- Identify high-risk AI behaviors and practices that should be avoided in investigations, reporting, and testimony
