Advanced Survival: Scenarios & Fieldcraft

Advanced Survival: Scenarios & Fieldcraft

Catholic Ecology CenterNeosho, WI
Overview

Have you ever wondered if you could survive off the grid? Come spend the day in the woods learning the tricks for wilderness survival.

YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED BEGINNER SURVIVAL: FOUNDATIONS I & II (during any year) BEFORE REGISTERING FOR ADVANCED SURVIVAL.

Advanced Survival builds on the skills learned in Beginner Survival through more immersive outdoor challenges, survival scenarios, teamwork activities, and hands-on problem solving. Each session has a different focus and may include activities such as navigation challenges, rescue simulations, shelter and fire-building, tool-making, scavenger-style challenges, and resource-based survival games.

Advanced Survival is active, adventurous, and designed for participants who are ready to apply their skills in new and exciting ways outdoors.

Participants may register for Advanced sessions in any order after completing both Beginner Survival sessions. Each Advanced session offers a distinct focus and new challenges, and returning participants are encouraged.

Tuesday, July 21st - Advanced Survival: Scenarios & Fieldcraft

This immersive survival session places participants inside a simulated survival situation where decisions matter and challenges unfold in real time. Working as a team, they may navigate off-trail, respond to injuries, build shelters under time pressure, signal for help, and manage limited resources. Instructors guide the scenario while allowing participants to lead, problem-solve, and apply the skills they’ve learned throughout the program.

This program runs from 9:30am-2:30pm and will meet in St. Francis Hall in the main CEC Neu Building. (see map below)

This program is open to anyone 9-16 years old who has completed Foundations Levels I & II (during any year). Please note: we do not make exceptions to the minimum age requirement.
