Aesop's Fables: Stories of Ancient Greece

This is a 2-day workshop, it will take place on July 20 and 21 from 1pm to 3pm at the Cumberland Gap Convention Center in Cumberland Gap, TN. All supplies and needed materials are provided.
In this workshop, join local storyteller Heather Lawson for a 2-day interactive storytelling experience. Participants will explore a variety of Aesop’s Fables, including stories featuring clever animals and characters that teach lessons about honesty, kindness, perseverance, and problem-solving. Participants will act out and retell these tales, practicing oral storytelling, improvisation, and creative expression. They will learn how the morals of these ancient Greek stories apply to everyday life today, helping them reflect on choices, consequences, and ethical decision-making. Through discussion and performance, participants will also gain skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and self-expression, while connecting with the cultural and historical roots of these timeless tales.
This workshop will take place on July 20th and 21st from 1pm to 3pm.
This workshop is for those ages 6 to 10.
