AHWC Green Roof Gardening Series: Cut Flowers

In this hands-on garden class, students will explore the art and science of cut flowers. Participants will learn how to grow a variety of seasonal blooms ideal for cutting, with an emphasis on planting techniques and sustainable growing practices. The class will also cover how to select flowers at peak bloom for the longest vase life, as well as tips for harvesting and conditioning stems. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring any food or drink that you may need for yourself.

Location: CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center Green Roof, located on the 3rd floor

Cost: Free to those who sign up and attend. To ensure program sustainability, a reimbursable $5 deposit is required at sign up. Those who sign up and do not attend will be charged. Refunds will be issued within 24 hours after attending.
