What should I wear?

This event begins and ends indoors but includes a walk to visit different groups of pigs so dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes that can get dirty.

What breed to you raise?

Accepted Answer

Over the years we have raised different breeds like Duroc, Yorkshire, Idaho Pasture Pigs and settled on our favorite: the American Mulefoot Hog. Most of the pigs you see here are pure Mulefoot hogs but some are crosses.

Question 3

How many pigs do you have?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the day but 40-70 at any given moment. We raise pigs for meat to sell and eat plus raise additional piglets to sell to farmers and homesteaders.

Question 4

Can I bring my children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All ages are welcome. You'll see individual tickets or family/couple passes. Our two youngest children have been around pigs their whole lives and will love to talk to you and your children about "raising bacon."
