Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Chris Trapper performs solo acoustic for one night only at Penny Lane.
More than a quarter century into his career, Grammy nominated artist Chris Trapper's goals as a songwriter and performer have largely remained unchanged-write a great song and connect with the audience. It can be through a lyric that resonates, an unshakable melody or even an earnest, often self-deprecating anecdote told from the stage between songs. A road warrior, Chris performs up to 150 dates a year, both as a headliner and as the opening act on tours with luminaries such as Rob Thomas, Colin Hay, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo and Three Dog Night. The newly released “Watching Sparks Fly By” is Chris's 12th full length LP as a solo artist (he also fronted Capitol Records artist The Push Stars on 5 albums) and his love and passion for the art of songwriting is once again on full display.
A favorite of Hollywood's music supervisors, Chris's songs have appeared in such films as "The Devil Wears Prada", "There's Something About Mary", "Soul On Fire" and his song "This Time" was the number one selling song on the Grammy nominated (& triple platinum) soundtrack for "August Rush" (Robin Williams, Jonathan Rhys Meyers).
