Around the World in Eight Plants: Part 2

Around the World in Eight Plants: Part 2

Overview

Take another stroll around Cornell Botanic Gardens and travel around the world a second time!

On this walking tour you’ll encounter a new selection of eight plants from multiple continents. Each plant - tree, shrub, or perennial - has significant cultural importance to the societies that grow and utilize them. Some are highly cultivated, and others are harvested from the forest with thoughtful ceremony. From simple sustenance to a striving for beauty, to connecting to one’s place in the divine, come learn how these plants have played a role in human civilization. Travel with Mary as she highlights another selection of plants in this part 2 tour offering. Attending the first part of this tour is not necessary but highly encouraged! Part 1 tour details can be found here.
