Art|Pride: A History of LGBTQ+ Artists With The Detroit Institute of Arts
Join us for a special lecture highlighting LGBTQ+ artists whose works are part of the DIA's collection.
Presented by trained DIA teaching volunteers, Behind the Seen brings insight and engagement about the DIA's collection from the museum out to the community. A docent from the DIA will be joining us at Sherwood Forest to discuss the contributions of LGBTQ+ folks to the art world.
Art|Pride raises awareness of the significant contributions by LGBTQ+ artists and their impact on the art world. These artists are among the leaders of modern and contemporary art and have shattered stereotypes and defied prejudice and discrimination on their path to success.
This is NOT a ticketed event, which means seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
