Bat-tastic Evening
Overview
Midpen guided activities are led by trained volunteer docent naturalists. All are welcome.
Enjoy an evening of exploration of the only flying mammal: the bat! You’ll learn more about what makes these winged animals so special on this leisurely-paced outing with Docent Naturalist Melissa Hero and Midpen staff Doungchai Delos Santos and Ellen Tjosvold. As the sun goes down, you'll hang out near the Daniels Nature Center to see whether bats appear over Alpine Pond, returning to your car before darkness sets in. Bring layered clothing to stay warm, and binoculars if you have them. Registration is required and will be accepted on or after July 24 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close on August 6 at 2:00 p.m.
