Bay Area International Deaf Dance Festival

Join us in the Presidio for the 14th annual Bay Area International Deaf Dance Festival organized by Urban Jazz Dance Company. Enjoy live performances from Deaf, Deaf/Disabled, and hearing artists from across the world. Families are also invited to register for the youth workshop aimed at introducing participants to dance as a form of visual and embodied communication. The workshop led by teaching artists, centers Deaf-led artistic expression while being designed to be interactive, culturally responsive, and accessible to participants with a range of communication and access needs. There will also be booths from local Deaf organizations and vendors to check out.

American Sign Language (ASL) and International Sign Language interpretation will be available at the performance and during the workshops. If you need an interpreter at another area of the event, please ask a staff person for assistance.
