Birding Walk with We Explore Earth @ Shipley Nature Center
Join Barefoot Joel for an immersive journey through a magical maze of bird habitat that is tucked away within Huntington Beach Central Park.
Learn how to identify birds by listening to their songs and calls, finding their preferred plant communities and observing their colorful plumage, relatable behavior and specialized adaptations. Bring binoculars. This is your chance to slow down, improve your birding skills and bask in the beauty of a hidden gem. Carry water and snacks. In collaboration with We Explore Earth.
Parking is free! We will gather at the amphitheater, where a representative from Shipley Nature Center will welcome the group and answer any questions before the walk begins.
DIFFICULTY: Easy. Mix of sun and shade. Minimal elevation gain. Flat trail. Less than a mile round-trip.
