A mother-daughter owned bookstore on the southside of Chicago committed to uplifting black authors from around the world and sharing diverse stories.  We curate community focused events based around literacy.  Our mission is to make sure strong literacy skills and literature that mirrors the reader is always accessible.  We are the bridge between authors, books, and readers and we love making sure it's always an elevated experience.

<h2>📚🍕 Books &amp; Brunch for Kids</h2>Saturday, February 28 12:00 – 2:00 PMJoin us for a fun-filled Books &amp; Brunch for Kids featuring special guest author A.T. Woehling!Each child ticket includes a copy of her charming picture book May’s Too Big Pizza, plus storytime and kid-friendly activities inspired by the book. And of course, we’ll be serving pizza for brunch — because books and pizza are the perfect combo!<h3>📖 About the Book</h3>May’s Too Big Pizza is a playful and heartwarming story about a young girl who learns an important lesson about patience, problem-solving, and asking for help. When May realizes her pizza is far too big for her to manage alone, she discovers that working together can make even the biggest problems easier to solve. It’s a delightful story about independence, teamwork, and not being afraid to try.Older kids will have a selection of other age-appropriate books to choose from if they prefer something different.🎟 Tickets: • $10 per child (includes a book) • $15 per adultThis is a perfect family event for encouraging a love of reading while enjoying good food and quality time together.
