Brown Don't Frown: Stand-Up Comedy Series

South Asia Institute is proud to launch Brown Don't Frown, a new stand-up comedy series celebrating the power of humor to bring people together, spark conversation, and strengthen community through the voices of South Asian comedians and performers.

More than entertainment, comedy can be a powerful form of storytelling. Through laughter, comedians explore questions of identity, family, belonging, generational change, and the everyday experiences that shape our lives. Brown Don't Frown creates a space where humor becomes a catalyst for connection, reflection, and community.

Join us for the inaugural event featuring nationally touring comedian and storyteller Vik Pandya. Known for his sharp observations on culture, relationships, family dynamics, and modern life, Vik has become a favorite among audiences across the country. He will be joined by an outstanding lineup of comedians who are helping redefine South Asian American comedy.
