Overview
Learn how to identify and build your "nest" in end-of-life planning and how to make sure those preferences happen when the time comes.
We hope you can join us on Friday, July 24th, from 11am-12pm CST for a community online course to help with identifying personal sources of comfort (sights, sounds, scents, objects) and how to formally document these preferences for caregivers and medical teams.
During this workshop, participants will learn to:
- Understand the concept of "The Nest" as the intentional creation of a supportive physical and emotional environment for the final stage of life.
- Identify and catalog five key elements of comfort across the senses (e.g., preferred music, specific blanket, light settings, favorite scents).
- Learn how to legally and practically integrate these comfort preferences into existing advance directives, care plans, and conversations with their Health Care Power of Attorney.
Whether you're planning for yourself or helping a loved one with their final wishes, it is never too early to make your end-of-life plan. Registration is required for this event.
