Part of the Juneteenth collection
Overview
Get ready to unleash your creativity and bring some dragonfly magic to life at this cool Button DragonFly meetup!
Let's celebrate Juneteenth by creating a button dragonfly.
Join us at Elmwood Park Branch June 16th at 1:00 pm -2:00 pm to learn about the spiritual and historical connection between Juneteenth and dragonflies.
History began in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts with the commemoration of the Dragonfly House, located on 115 Seaview Avenue; an historical safe haven for Black travelers dating back to the late 1870s. The house is adorned with golden dragonfly accents representing freedom, resilience, and connection to ancestors.
