Cabinet Building - Part 1 - Carcass

Overview

Lay the foundation for your custom base cabinet by building the core structure — the carcass.

Lay the foundation for your custom base cabinet by building the core structure — the carcass.
You’ll start with pre-cut Baltic birch panels and learn essential joinery techniques for assembling a square, sturdy cabinet box that serves as the framework for doors and drawers in later sessions.

Under expert guidance, you’ll learn how to:

  • Accurately align and join panels using pocket-hole joinery
  • Square and secure the cabinet box for perfect alignment
  • Install a toe-kick base and internal support rails
  • Prepare the carcass for face frame and drawer installation

By the end of this class, you’ll have a fully assembled 18" base cabinet carcass — ready for face frames, doors, and drawers.
Continue your learning with Part 2 – Face Frames & Doors or take this class alone to gain confidence in accurate cabinet assembly.
