Question 1

Can I come for just part of the time?

Accepted Answer

Sessions will build on one another, so participation in all sessions is expected and encouraged. Only those who complete all four sessions are eligible for the one-year Steward membership upgrade.

Question 2

Can my children join? They're very mature!

Accepted Answer

We love your kids, but this is an adults-only course. We invite you to bring them out with us on guided tours and attend walk-up paddle days all season long — and once you've completed this course, you can bring them on guided trips you'll be leading, too!

Question 3

What should I wear and/or bring?

Accepted Answer

Flat-soled shoes, sun protection (a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, especially!), a water bottle, and your sense of humor are strongly recommended. Also, there's usually a bit of dirt and water involved in canoeing in nature, so we recommend wearing things you don't mind getting a little dirty.

Will lunch be provided?

BYO-lunch! We'll make sure to have small snacks and water on hand to keep you safe, but a brown-bag lunch is recommended.
