This is a definite segment of the spirits industry, where there is an attempt to capitalize on the good will of a personality’s name to reach beyond the normal buyers of whiskey and also draw in fans who might not have tried the spirit otherwise.

Apologies to Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, even though they represent barrel aged spirits, this class is specifically about Whiskies! We are also going to skip over those celebrities who serve as spokesperson for a whiskey but who are not tied to the spirit either through their name or likeness on the bottle nor were they involved in crafting the spirit.

Celebrity Whiskeys are booming. It seems almost every week a new celebrity backed product hits the market. Or a celebrity expands their line.
