Chemung River & Watershed Clean-up - Lackawanna Trail & East Water St Park
Team up with us to help keep the Chemung River free from trash and debris. No experience required, just positivity and love for the earth!
Join the River Friends for our monthly clean-up across the Chemung River Watershed. In June, we are cleaning up two locations simultaneously to make an even bigger impact: Lackawanna Trail #1 and East Water Street Park. Both clean-ups kick off at 10:00 AM, and you can choose the location that works best for you when registering.
For Lackawanna Trail #1 - Participants should park and meet near the trail entrance on E Water Street in Elmira, across from Kennedy Valve.
For East Water Street Park - Participants should park and meet at East Water Street Park (near the Sullivan Street Pump Station) at 800 E Water St in Elmira, behind the baseball field.
All materials will be provided, all you need is yourself dressed in weather appropriate clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty, and maybe a friend to help out too! We'll have a short safety talk before we embark on our clean-up efforts in the Chemung River Watershed.
Registration is not required for this FREE event but is greatly appreciated so we know how many folks to expect.
Our clean-ups are funded through various grants and sponsorships. Individual donations are not required but are greatly appreciated!
