CLO Academic Level 2 Training Summer 2026

THIS IS A LEVEL 2 TRAINING. WE WILL BEGIN WITH AN INTERMEDIATE GARMENT CONSTRUCTION. If you think you may not be ready for this training. Please email us.

Previously, CLO has only offered training for learning institutions directly, and with a minimum of 4 attendees. We are now offering training for instructors individually in a virtual environment. These will be based on apparel construction, and CLO will set the curricula. These are not customizable, and we will only construct basic men's and/or women's garments.

LEVEL 2 - Mastering the Workflow

To enroll, you must have attended the Level 1 training OR and equivalent training before this training. The content picks up where that training left off.

Planned Curriculum [based on the progress of the group in the training, all topics may not be addressed]

SECTION 1 | Garment Construction Workflow

• To begin with, we will go through the Construction Workflow with 2 garments that are a bit more complex. This will allow us to learn new tools and techniques, which will lead to a deeper understanding of CLO and get us closer to mastery

SECTION 2 | Alternative Construction Workflows

• CLO can be used to draft patterns with drawing tools. There are also multiple ways to create patterns through the use of amazing 3D tools and AI. All of which will give you a starting point to convey your vision.

SECTION 3 | Next Level Techniques

• CLO also provides some drafting and editing tools and techniques that will help you streamline your workflow.

SECTION 4 | Avatar Styling & Fitting

• It is not enough that the garment is on your Avatar. Let’s complete the entire look by adding Accessories, styling the Avatar, and changing the pose. Understanding the tools CLO provides to ensure “proper” fit is paramount to the ultimate success of the real-world sample that will eventually be made.

SECTION 6 | Presentation

Beyond the Snapshots and Turntables of the 3D window, CLO has its own extremely powerful render engine which allows you to create photographic-quality images of your designs. In Level 2, we are introducing you to the various options to get started with presenting finished renders of your garments.
