Clover's Workshop 4-H Winter Day Camp

Welcome to Clark County, Nevada 4-H!Interested in joining 4-H? There are a few ways that students can be involved in the 4-H Program in Clark County.Youth and families can join an existing 4-H club around the county. Clubs are open to youth ages 9-19. Children between 5-8 (Cloverbuds) are welcome to attend club meetings but have to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Check out the clubs shared on our Eventbrite profile for club information and meeting dates.Youth are also welcome to join any of the programs and classes that Clark County 4-H offers. These include multi-session programs, day camp, and overnight camps. It began a century ago as an educational program for the nation's rural youth. Today, 4-H meets the needs of and engages young people in positive youth development experiences. 4-H is the youth development education program of University of Nevada, Reno Extension.4-H is the largest out-of-school youth organization in the United States with over 7 million members. There are over 49,000 young people engaged in 4-H programs across the state of Nevada alone. The 4-H program promotes life skills development through an expanding number of delivery modes: 4-H community and project clubs, military and 4-H after-school programs, special interest groups, school enrichment, library programming, recreational and community center partnerships, camping opportunities and much more.4-H participants are all youth, ages 5 to 19, taking part in programs provided as the result of actions planned and initiated by Extension personnel in cooperation with volunteers and families. 4-H is characterized as being community-centered, volunteer-led, Extension staff supervised, research-based, home and family-oriented, publicly and privately funded and responsive to change. 4-H Day Camps

Clark County 4-H offers a variety of educational day camps and multi-day summer camps tailored to youth development. These programs feature hands-on STEAM activities, cooking, arts and crafts, outdoor environmental exploration, and leadership development.

At the 4-H winter camp, youth will have the opportunity to create fun and unique holidays gifts for themselves and their loved ones. The three fun-filled days led by Clark County 4-H staff will include activities such as ornament making, cosmetic science activities and even gift wrapping! The Clover&#x27;s Workshop 4-H Winter Day Camp will be hosted at the new UNR, Extension North Las Vegas Campus located at 2280 N McDaniel St, North Las Vegas, NV 89030. The day camp will run for 3 days, December 19-21, 2022 and each day will be from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with drop-off beginning at 8:30 a.m. and pick-up ending at 12:30 p.m.The workshop is open to youth ages 9-12 | Free to attend | Registration is required | Limited space is availableFor more information, please email the Clark County 4-H Team at cc4-h@unr.edu.Please note: Breakfast and Lunch will not be provided.
