Coffee Origins: Varieties and Processing - Chicago

Overview

Have you ever wondered what makes coffee taste the way it does? If you have, then this workshop will help you understand why!

If you've ever wondered what makes coffee taste the way it does, this workshop is for you! Varieties and Processing is a four hour session that explores variables that impact coffee flavor at origin. We will dive into basic coffee genetics, processing techniques, and how the environment shapes how coffee tastes. This workshop is a combination of lecture, discussion, and coffee tastings.

Although not mandatory, participants might find it beneficial to attend the Cupping and Palate Development Workshop prior to Varieties and Processing. This workshop is part of Counter Culture's wholesale curriculum, which is designed to equip coffee professionals with a deeper understanding of coffee and the complexity it encapsulates.
