Coffee Origins: Varieties and Processing - New York City
Have you ever wondered what makes coffee taste the way it does? If you have, then this workshop will help you understand why!
Coffee is a delightful beverage that people have grown to love around the world. While drinking coffee might seem as simple as a sip, the truth is that coffee is tremendously complex. It takes a lot for this tropical fruit to be transported, roasted, ground, and brewed. A Value Stream Exploration dives into the many actors responsible from coffee going from a seed in the ground to your morning brew. By the end of this session, you will have a greater understanding of coffee's complexity and its global impact. This workshop is a combination of lecture, discussion, and cupping exercises.
Although not mandatory, participants might find it beneficial to attend the Cupping and Palate Development Workshop prior to A Value Stream Exploration. This workshop is part of Counter Culture's wholesale curriculum, which is designed to equip coffee professionals with a deeper understanding of coffee and the complexity it encapsulates.
