Thank you for your interest in joining us for On the Water Day at Phantom Canyon. This event is designed to introduce and teach the basics.
What’s Included?
✅ Hands-on instruction from fly fishing instructors
✅ All necessary fly fishing gear provided
✅ Lunch included!
🕘 Event Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Meeting Location: The Forks Mercantile and Saloon (17685 US-287 #3, Livermore, CO 80536)
🚗 Travel: We’ll meet PROMPTLY at 9:00 AM and drive as a group to Phantom Canyon (about 3 miles up the road). Participants will leave their cars in a designated parking lot at the entry way of the property that houses Phantom Canyon. Due to the terrain of the dirt road terrain leading up to the fishing spot at Phantom Canyon, participants will then be shuttled to the fishing location.
Due to the remote location and terrain of this particular event, all participants must be 21 years or older.
Please note: Registering on Eventbrite does not automatically guarantee a spot at the event. We’re using Eventbrite to help gather interest and assist with planning. Please disregard any automated messages from Eventbrite (including ticket confirmation emails).
All official and accurate communication will come directly from the Community Fly Fishing team by email.
Because there are a few factors that can shift unexpectedly—such as onsite conditions or staffing—we’ll reach out about one week before the event to confirm your participation or let you know if you’ve been placed on the waitlist.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility!
A little more about the event:
This event is possible through a unique partnership with The Nature Conservancy (TNC), an environmental nonprofit whose mission is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends, and that our experience at Phantom Canyon Preserve is not only a chance to fish, but also to appreciate and be inspired by the place, CFF’s and TNC’s mission, and help share that with our community. The property is not managed or used solely for fly fishing, and was protected to maintain its wild character and important habitat. The Preserve is a refuge for an impressive diversity of wildlife, more than 200 species of birds, and over 600 species of plants. As this is not a property open to the general public, but rather used for education, research, and conservation, our mission and partnership gives us unique access to this place. We hope you will appreciate and enjoy being there and help maintain the special place that it is!
