Copy of Elk River Summer Float 2026

Come out and enjoy the Elk River Summer Float on July 18th, 2026 beginning at the Sutton Dam. This 5-mile float is the perfect trip for beginner kayakers or groups with varied skill levels. Registration, check-in and gear drop starts at 9:00 a.m. at the dam. The float officially starts at 11:00 a.m. but kayakers can enter the water when they are ready. Come early to check-in, pick up your wristband band that will be needed to ride the shuttle, drop your gear, then drive to the Elk River Camp and RV to park your car and board the waiting shuttles. The shuttles will bring you back to the Sutton Dam to start your float.

Registration fee is $25 per person which includes a free event shirt and shuttle service.

Day-of registration will be available, but to be guaranteed a shirt, please register by July 1. Online registration ends July 1 , 2026. Day of registration will increase to $30.00.
