A farm-based collab between Quilombo do Acupe and Soul Fire Farm, abundant with workshops in capoeira, farming, music and movement & more!
Cultivating Resistance
A weekend of Capoeira Angola, farming and music on the land.
REGISTRATION OPEN MAY 1ST!
Join us to co-create this land-rooted community of collective resistance - quilombo - healing, celebration, and manifesting what is possible. This farm-based collaboration between Quilombo do Acupe and Soul Fire Farm will be abundant with workshops in capoeira, farming, herbalism, wilderness play, foraging, swimming, and other music and movement. Get your hands on the land with the Soul Fire farmers! Be in spiritual connection! Eat amazing food! Deepen and build community! Play on the beautiful and sacred Soul Fire land. And so much more!
In these heartbreaking times for our communities, Cultivating Resistance will offer the opportunity to experience what living into liberation looks and feels like. The land is our original source for intuition, strength, and wisdom. We NEED to know and remember this as our north star! With so many other urgent needs tugging at our community, time and resources, we also need to fortify our bodies and imaginations in creative collaboration, celebration, joy and inquiry as we plan and live into quilombo.
Everyone is welcome! No capoeira background necessary.
Space is limited for this multiday event! Food is included. Camping accommodations. Please plan to attend the entire event or contact the organizers. Sliding scale. No one turned away for lack of funds.
