Rae Studios combines classes to encourage and strengthen a dancers fundamentals along with strength and flexibility training. With our variety of classes offered, we appeal to our local SF students whose goals range from gaining fitness stamina, to dancing in high-intensity cardio dance, to perfecting their dance technique. We offer 50+ classes available for both in-studio and outdoor at UN Plaza/Civic Center. Learn from instructors and choreographers from around the world.

Class Description:​​​​K-Pop, short for Korean popular music, is a form of music originating in South Korea as part of South Korean culture. ​​As a dance genre, it is influenced heavily from many genres around the world, such as Pop, Hip Hop, R&amp;B, Experimental, Rock, Jazz, and Electronic Dance on top of its traditional Korean music roots. Modern K-Pop "idol" culture began in the 1990s and has grown into a global phenomenon with groups like BTS, BLACKPINK, Stray Kids, TWICE, and more. K-Pop instructors will teach choreography from from various music videos or create their own choreographed influences from various styles of dance. Students should expect to learn fun combos and increase their performance quality. Meet Your InstructorSarah (they/them) was born in Southern California before migrating to San Francisco in 2017. Their love for dynamic formations, sharp, synchronized movement, and overall performance quality is what first drew Sarah to K-Pop. As an instructor, Sarah uses their experience in other styles like Hip Hop, Locking, and Shuffle to bolster their teaching and educate their students about the origins of many K-Pop concepts and trends.In their class, you can expect to learn choreography by many choreographers of the K-Pop industry like Bada Lee, Rie Hata, Back Kooyoung, and BBTrippin.Check out their Instagram to see what song they’ll be teaching next!IG: @saraht.onin
