Turn a plain wooden box into something wonderful using the technics of collage and decoupage.
Decorate a box using cut-out materials and turn it into something whimsical and practical! You can make a purse, desk organizer, pencil case, treasure box, or anything they wish. A variety of materials and tools will be provided, and may include magazine and book cutouts, paper, fabric scraps, ribbon, scissors, glue and more. We have a limited number of boxes, so bring your own if you can (cigar boxes work best). This fun and hands-on craft activity is for adults.
Decoupage: the art of decorating surfaces by applying cutouts (as of paper) and then coating with usually several layers of finish (such as lacquer or varnish).
Collage: an artistic composition made of various materials (such as paper, cloth, or wood) glued on a surface.
