PICKLE PARTY!!! - DGC Sprouts Youth Garden Club - July Special Event

Sprouts families, friends, and neighbors are invited to the annual Pickle Party at the Sprouts Learning Garden!

Explore how to preserve food and make your own pickles!

We will have a variety of pickled vegetables for taste testing. Explore different flavor combinations. Then, you decide what to add to make your own quick pickles! Add cucumbers, spices, and brine - then pop it in your refrigerator and in a few days you will have quick pickles of your own! Bring along a clean jar with lid that fits if you have one, we will have extras but why not recycle yours!

Please note, this event will be held outdoors at the Sprouts Learning Garden at St. John Lutheran Church. In case of inclement weather, enter door 3 for the basement meeting room.

Details:

The Pickle Party event begins at 10am. Suggested donation of $5 cash per batch of quick pickles. Sprouts gardeners will also be making flower bouquets for sale for $10 each.

Optional: At 12pm, we will conclude with a Splash Party! Bring a water squirter or reusable water balloon, and be ready to get wet (if you choose to)! It is recommended to bring a towel and water shoes to participate.

NOTES:

All are welcome to attend.

A responsible adult must accompany children.

Please register for one ticket per family participating.
