Founded in 2019, Michigan Brew Tours hosts craft beer and brewery tours all over southeast Michigan, offering private and public shuttle tours, biking tours, and walking tours, as well as public and private guided beer tastings. Our emphasis on beer education for all levels sets us apart from the crowd and offers everyone from beer novices to beer snobs the opportunity to expand their craft beverage knowledge and sample a few local craft drinks in the process! Started by Certified Cicerone® and Schoolcraft College Brewing and Distillation Technology graduate John Turnage, Michigan Brew Tours also hosts in-office guided tastings, beer tasting stations for corporate events, and company team building events. From your home, to your office, to your favorite taproom, we'll be there to help you get the most out of Michigan's finest beer, mead, cider, and spirits!

Die Biere Deutschlands German Beer Tasting is a 2-hour guided beer tasting that showcases some of the legendary beer styles of Germany presented in the authentic biergarten setting of <a href="https://www.lagerhausno5.com/" title="https://www.lagerhausno5.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lagerhaus No. 5</a> in Eastern Market. <a href="https://www.lagerhausno5.com/" title="https://www.lagerhausno5.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lagerhaus No. 5</a> not only sells and serves an eclectic variety of classic European beers, but they are one of the premier German-style brewers in Michigan. As with every Michigan Brew Tours tasting, you'll be guided by a <a href="https://www.cicerone.org/us-en/certifications/certified-cicerone" title="https://www.cicerone.org/us-en/certifications/certified-cicerone" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Certified Cicerone®</a>, a recognized expert in the field of beer, who will:<ul><li>Demonstrate to guests the proper process for tasting beer.</li><li>Give a general overview of German beer styles.</li><li>Explain the history and significance of each particular style as it’s sampled.</li><li>Illustrate the brewing process.</li></ul>As your guide takes you through each beer sample, you'll do more than just drink beer: you'll learn about the history of each style, its ingredients, and its brewing process while you experience some of the best beer Michigan has to offer. A flight of beer samples from around Germany, a pretzel &amp; beer cheese appetizer, a pint of your choice at the tasting's conclusion, and some exclusive Michigan Brew Tours swag are all included!CHECK-IN: Please arrive no later than 10 minutes prior to the start of the tour and check in with your guide at Lagerhaus No. 5. If you are running late, please contact your Michigan Brew Tours guide at (734) 666-5036.PARKING: The street parking near Lagerhaus and the parking lots in Eastern Market are open and free of charge.AGE LIMIT: 21 and over ONLY, even if not drinking. You MUST show valid ID upon arrival to participate in the tasting.TICKETING: No need to print your ticket. Arrive a few minutes early to check-in and give the guide your name and ID. That's it!SPECIAL NEEDS/DIETARY RESTRICTIONS: Please let us know of any special needs or dietary restrictions/food allergies in advance at info@mibrewtours.com and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.CANCELLATION: In case of severe/inclement weather, Michigan Brew Tours may have to cancel an event.
