Are you ready to explore history, nature, and scenic trails — all in one hike?Grab your walking shoes (and your dog!) and join us for a group hike through the beautiful Reedy Creek Park Trails in Charlotte, NC. Whether you're brand new to hiking or a seasoned trail-lover, this guided experience is a great way to explore one of the city's most beloved nature preserves.Dogs Welcome! (Please bring a leash, waste bags, and water for your pup.)We’ll cover a variety of trails, including:<ul><li>Sassafras Trail</li><li>Dragonfly Pond Trail</li><li>Umbrella Tree Trail</li><li>South Fork Trail</li><li>And a stop at the Robinson Rock House Ruins</li></ul>Along the way, we’ll admire native plants, pause at tranquil ponds, and explore the rich history of the area. At the Robinson Rock House site, you’ll discover what remains of this early 1800s homestead. Only a corner of masonry still stands, surrounded by rubble and a massive Osage Orange tree — estimated by arborists to have been planted around 1770!This is a low-pressure, relaxed hike designed to help you connect with nature, meet new people, and learn something new about Charlotte’s past.What You’ll Experience:<ul><li>A guided group hike through diverse trails</li><li>Historical storytelling at the Robinson Rock House ruins</li><li>Opportunities to observe local wildlife and native trees</li><li>Dog-friendly environment (on leash, please)</li><li>Great spots for photos and nature journaling</li></ul>Who Should Attend?<ul><li>Beginner to experienced hikers</li><li>Nature lovers and local history buffs</li><li>Dog owners looking for a friendly outdoor activity</li><li>Anyone wanting to become more familiar with the Reedy Creek trail system</li></ul>Reedy Creek Park - Meet at the first parking lot on the LEFT.
