Earth Day with NWTA

Mountain biking requires riders to confront their fears, biases, and preconceived notions: we know what it feels like to be fearful, uncomfortable, and out of our element while on a ride. While we believe that everyone's barriers should be respected, we know that mutual support will help get us past those barriers. We must boost each other up and push ourselves to improve both on and off the bike. NWTA wants a world where everyone feels welcome, safe, and free in the outdoors. As an organization, the NWTA is committed to creating a pathway to nature for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, faith, and country of origin. All volunteers and participants in NWTA events are held to ourCode of Conduct and Ethics.Some Northwest Trail Alliance (NWTA) programs, events, and activities require registration fees. Refunds will be issued in full for registration fee refund requests received no less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the event start date and time. A partial refund of 50% will be issued for registration fee refund requests received after seven (7) days and up to twenty-four (24) hours before the start of the event. SOCIAL EVENTS

Saddle up and roll into a world of pedal-powered fun and camaraderie with our social series of NWTA events! Designed for cyclists of all ages and abilities, these gatherings are for everyone passionate about off-road cycling.

Join us while we do our part to clean up our corner of the planet. On Sunday, April 12th we will be picking up the trash alongside Rocky Point Rd in Scappoose. Our objective will be to remove trash from the roadside that we bike on, be good neighbors to those who share this area with us, and be better stewards of our planet.When: Sunday, April 12th from 9:30 to 1:00Where: Rocky Point Central Trailhead (45.696324, -122.888672). We will be meeting at the kiosk at the main trailhead on the south side. Have yourself and gear ready to go by 9:30. We recommend showing up early to ensure we respect each other's time.Who: You! Our NWTA community is invited to join us in giving back to our planet.What (to bring): Bright clothes! We will be roadside, make sure you are highly visible. Gloves and sturdy shoes. Bring plenty of snacks and water. Garbage bags and pickers will be provided. Prizes for the most Twisted Tea cans and Fireball bottles retrieved!Why: It is important to NWTA to be good stewards of our environment and the places where we recreate.
