Join the Allegheny Boys for an evening exploring the amphibians of the Allegheny Mountains.
The program begins with a one-hour presentation covering species diversity, habitats, and how to identify amphibians in the field.
The Allegheny Boys are field naturalists and photographers documenting Appalachian amphibians through macro photography and the development of a regional field guide.
After the presentation, participants will head out on a guided evening hike to search for salamanders and frogs across a variety of habitats. It is highly recommended to bring a headlamp and comfortable boots!
A small selection of prints from their fieldwork will be available, with proceeds supporting their upcoming field guide.
NOTE: Lodging is available if you'd like to spend the night and snacks will be provided.
