We unite people to protect, promote, and care for the forest preserves in Cook County. Founded in 1998 by a small group of concerned citizens, Friends is now a force of thousands of committed volunteers and members. Through political advocacy, ecological restoration, and community engagement, we ensure the forest preserves will always be a source of recreation and relaxation.

Ever wondered what there is to do at your local forest preserve? Join your community in learning about Eggers Grove in a variety of activities, including:🌿 Calming nature walks to learn about the plants, animals, and historical background of the site🎨 A paint and sip with scenic views and all materials provided🌭 Free food and drinks throughout the event🌸 Native seed collecting, a low-intensity activity to explore beautiful habitats and learn plant identification🧘 Outdoor yoga, a calming, accessible activity, led by Donisha Reed with Wellthy Living📣 An information table to learn about free programs, volunteer opportunities, and other offerings from both Friends of the Forest Preserves and Forest Preserves of Cook County🎵 Music throughout the event This event is free and open to all ages!
