Mastering pivot tables is one of the fastest ways to analyze and summarize large amounts of data in Microsoft Excel. In this comprehensive webcast, Excel expert David Ringstrom, CPA, demonstrates advanced techniques that help users push the boundaries of pivot tables while adding greater interactivity and efficiency to their reporting processes. Attendees will learn how to group and organize data in new ways, create simple macros to eliminate common pivot table frustrations, leverage Excel’s Slicer and Timeline features, and sort data using customized hierarchies.
Throughout the session, David demonstrates every technique twice - first through easy-to-follow PowerPoint slides with numbered instructions and then live within the subscription-based Microsoft 365 version of Excel. He also highlights differences users may encounter in earlier versions of Excel, including Excel 2019, Excel 2016, Excel 2013, and prior editions. In addition, attendees receive detailed handouts and an Excel workbook containing many of the examples featured during the webcast, making it easy to apply these practical techniques immediately in the workplace.
Microsoft 365 is a subscription-based platform that delivers ongoing feature updates, often monthly, while perpetual licensed versions of Excel, such as Excel 2019 and Excel 2016, maintain fixed feature sets. This webinar provides valuable guidance for users across both environments, helping attendees maximize the capabilities of the version they use every day.
