Free summer camp for ages 14-18 in Zion National Park open to 20 students.
ZION YOUTH STEWARD CAMP
MEETING LOCATION: WATCHMAN CAMPGROUND
The Zion Youth Stewards camp will provide youth with hands-on experiences at Zion National Park, teaching them about wilderness stewardship and outdoor recreation. Participants will engage in activities like Leave No Trace education, skill-building workshops, and adventure hikes, while forming lasting connections to the park. Through this program, youth will gain practical knowledge, develop leadership skills, and receive a certificate of completion, which can be valuable for future job applications or college admissions.
Photography will be done at the event and used to promote the new program. Participant(s) and guardians of participant(s), hereby grant and authorize the right to take, edit, copy, exhibit, publish, distribute, and make use of any and all video/content taken of participant during the event, to be used in and/or for any lawful purpose.
Waiver required for participation.
- Food will be provided for participants during the the 2 day camp
- Tents will be provided for participants
Participants should have their own
- sleeping bag, pillow
- sturdy shoes to hike in
- appropriate clothing for hikes and camping
- transportaion to and from the event
