In this workshop, Join local artist Emily Taylor for a 5-day exploration into the world of acrylic painting. Participants will take a broad approach to exploring painting, the many different qualities of paint and some different approaches to painting. They will work with various elements of painting and composition such as color, texture, shape, and value, and combine those elements to create compositions. This will lead to a longer composition of number of smaller ones (student choice) in the last couple of days of the class. They will learn from each other and from the process, looking at each other’s studies and viewing paintings from different historical and contemporary practices - and have fun getting involved in the large world of paintings.
This workshop will take place July 13th through 17th from 6pm to 9pm each day.
This workshop is for those ages 18 and up.
