Fall Foliage Hike in Emerald View Park

Olympia ParkPittsburgh, PA
Overview

Get ready to explore vibrant fall colors and enjoy a chill hike surrounded by nature’s best at Emerald View Park.

Join a Park Ranger for a guided hike through Emerald View Park, one of Pittsburgh’s most scenic urban woodland landscapes. This roughly 3.5-mile route gains about 492 feet in elevation and travels along narrow, rustic trails that blend a peaceful forest atmosphere with touches of urban character. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the colors of autumn foliage and pause for a surprise, breathtaking view of the city skyline that makes the climb worthwhile. This event is open to fit hikers of all experience levels, and the pace will be relaxed and welcoming for anyone ready to explore.

Participants should wear closed toe shoes suitable for uneven terrain and bring water to stay hydrated. We will meet at the Olympia Park parking lot on Hallock Street (near 500 Hallock St) where a portable toilet is available nearby. Come ready for fresh air, seasonal color, and a friendly group adventure led by a knowledgeable Park Ranger.
