Fells Trail Run Club

Difficulty: Moderate (expect rocks, roots, and a mix of flat trails and hills)

Location: Fire Gate 16, across from 74 Hillcrest Parkway, Winchester

Appropriate for: Anyone who wants to explore the amazing trails of the fells. New to trail running? You’ll be in good company. Experienced? Enjoy a low-key, social run.

Trail Run Leader: Brendan Sullivan

About Brendan: Brendan runs in the Fells almost every day in all kinds of weather and light. Best runs he can remember: spotting two owls watching him from the Skyline Trail one evening, and a foggy winter morning when the whole place looked like it belonged to another world. He's not in it for the competition or the pace; it's more about getting outside, into the woods, and challenging himself a little. He's got some favorites he'd love to show you, and he's always looking for trails he hasn't found yet.

About the trail run: Come hit the trails in the Fells and meet other runners.

Every other Sunday, we'll head out for a ~4–6 mile loop through singletrack, mixing in some climbs, technical sections, and smoother stretches. Pace is conversational, and we regroup along the way. EVERYONE is welcome, and no one gets left behind!

The vibe: Easygoing, social, no pressure. It's not about competition, it's about getting outside with other people who enjoy trail running and exploring the diverse trails of the Fells.

Pull up, meet some folks, and run the Fells. Bring water and leave it in your car.

We'll run in most conditions, rain, snow, wind, and shine. Thunder and lightning will cancel the program.
