Overview

An intro to making a campfire. We will learn fire building techniques and get a chance to use a Ferrocerium rod (modern flint and steel).

Meet at the south end parking lot - Pavilion 1B inside Fort Naigara State Park. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the program. Registration is required for all programs.

Join a Park Naturalist for an introduction to making a campfire. Patrons will learn fire building techniques and get a chance to use a Ferrocerium rod (modern flint and steel) to create their own fire by hand. Please wear closed toe shoes.

Programs are free. Parking is limited and parking fees ($8.00) may apply. Parent or guardian must attend with any children.
