Fishing Clinic at Table Rock State Park

Fishing Clinic at Table Rock State Park

Overview

Have you ever been fishing or has it been a long time since you 'wet' your line? If you are intimidated by how to tie a Palomar knot or prop

Have you ever been fishing or has it been a long time since you 'wet' your line? If you are intimidated by how to tie a Palomar knot or proper casting techniques for all situations, then we have a class for you.

Family Fishing Clinics are an introductory class to fishing. Family Fishing Clinics will teach skills on how to tie fishing knots, how to rig a rod and reel, casting and the best part is everyone will get to try their hand at fishing. Kids from ages 4 to adults are welcome, so come out and play, enjoy the outdoors and make this a Family Fun Day! The Table Rock Clinics are in partnership with Pickens County Library.

For more information regarding an upcoming Freshwater Family Fishing Clinics event or want to host an event of your very own, please contact Mary Rhett Davidson, aquaticed@dnr.sc.gov.

Reminders:

What to bring: Dress is casual. Check the weather report and dress appropriately as you will be outside. Other items to consider bringing include hat, sunglasses, bug spray and water. Everything you need to participate in the class will be provided for you for the duration of the clinic.

Costs: The clinic is free of charge. (Fees for entrance to State Parks and county parks may still be applicable)

Clinics are held rain or shine unless hazardous weather occurs.
