Florida-Friendly Landscaping™: Planting Trees for the Suncoast

The Suncoast region lost substantial amounts of trees due to Hurricane Ian, Milton, and Helene along others in recent years. As we replant our urban and residential properties, let us be mindful of what we plant. Avoid nuisance invasives and weak limbed tree and instead focus on native trees, fruiting trees, and flowering Florida-friendly trees that are wind resistant trees. Join this class to learn about the trees that thrive in our suncoast region, with an emphasis on native trees, flowering Florida-friendly trees, and edible fruit/nut trees.
